Getting Around
Parking and Transportation
Access to the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Run may be restricted at various times throughout the event day. So, to help you navigate, take some time to review the map below, to make your visit a little less stressful.
The red shaded area is considered the Parade Zone, used for lineup and operation of the Parade. This means that many of the streets, parking lots, and businesses in this area will be inaccessible by automobiles for a large portion of the day, especially between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. In addition, be wary of highway exit closings, especially on Hwy 40/I-64. During both the Run and the Parade, these exits are likely to be temporarily closed. Road Construction Alert!: Hwy 40/I-64 is closed, in both directions, between I-170 and Kingshighway, for all of 2009, due to a highway renovation project. Please plan your route to the Parade and Run events accordingly. For more information on road construction projects, visit the MoDOT construction projects page.
We suggest that you consider MetroLink or MetroBus, when traveling to Downtown. MetroLink stations are very convenient to the Parade and the Run, and are indicated on the map above. For more information, visit Metro, the agency that operates the system.
