| Meet the Irish Dinner
St. Louis' annual Irish celebration, the St. Patrick's Day Parade "Meet the Irish" Dinner, takes place at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2008, the night before the Parade, at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark, in Downtown St. Louis. It is a formal evening of dinner and entertainment.
At the Dinner, we will introduce three distinguished individuals, two from Ireland, and one from the St. Louis area. They include
Micheál Ó Giobúin (Michael Gibbons), our Guest of Honor; Noel Ahern, TD, Representative of the Irish government; and Joseph F. Shaughnessy, Jr., this year's Honorary Parade Marshal.
The theme of the 2008 Dinner:
The Dinner consists of cocktails, dinner, Irish entertainment by the Irish Exiles, and dancing to the music of the Sh-Boom. It is a fitting kickoff to the events of the Parade weekend.
